Part of Midnight Movies
In perhaps their funniest and most iconic roles to date, the Wayans Bros play screw-up FBI agents Marcus (Marlon) and Kevin Copeland (Shawn), Black siblings who are skating on thin ice at the Bureau after mucking up a recent drug bust. As punishment, the brothers are sent on a petty grunt mission to escort Brittany and Tiffany Wilson on a weekend girl’s trip to the Hamptons. But things go awry when the socialite sisters refuse to be seen in public after a car accident dings up their perfect faces. In a crackpot effort to save their jobs, Marcus and Kevin disguise themselves as the ditzy blondes — as danger from an apparent kidnapping scheme circles in. Now, with more than just their careers on the line, whhthe brothers must learn to walk a thousand miles in the Prada pumps of another.
While maintaining the outlandish hilarity of a classic Wayans Brothers comedy, WHITE CHICKS manages to dig beneath the surface of stereotype, and hold an empathetic lens to the experiences of people from all walks of life.
“Comedy is all salesmanship, and these guys sold me; their giddy nonchalance reminds me of kids competing to crack each other up at bedtime after mom has given them Pepsi with dinner.” —Chicago Reader
