In the wake of the tragic shooting at the Covenant School in Green Hills, WPLN’s Peabody Award-winning journalist Meribah Knight followed three conservative moms over the course of a year as they learned to navigate Tennessee’s Republican-controlled state legislature. “Supermajority” is the four-part series from NPR’s Embedded, reported and hosted by Knight, that explores how these political newcomers confront powerful lawmakers, a dizzying legislative process and most importantly – their own long-held beliefs.

We’ll dive into what they’ve accomplished, how the work has changed them, and what they’ve discovered about democracy.
