¡CASA BONITA MI AMOR!

From the producers of the Emmy®-nominated Six Days to Air, feature documentary ¡CASA BONITA MI AMOR! tracks the rise, fall and revival of the beloved Colorado landmark Casa Bonita. Casa Bonita opened in 1974 in an unassuming strip mall. The massive “Disneyland of Mexican restaurants” is an Old West and Acapulco-inspired fever dream made famous by its indoor waterfall, cliff divers and haunted caves — and was featured in a classic 2003 episode of South Park. When the show’s creators, Trey Parker and Matt Stone, learn that Casa Bonita might close its doors for good, they attempt to preserve a crumbling piece of their childhood and Denver history.

“Mesmerizing… In true South Park fashion, triumph prevails over the most challenging obstacles in this out-of-this-world objective… Fiction mirrors reality as Stone and Parker deploy their signature meta humor.” —Edward Frumkin, Screen Anarchy

“Haven’t been able to experience Eric Cartman’s favorite restaurant Casa Bonita for yourself? Here’s the next best thing: ¡CASA BONITA MI AMOR!, a documentary that chronicles the ‘the rise, fall, and revival’ of the Colorado landmark.” —Josh Kurp, Uproxx
